When you place extreme time and effort into producing high quality academic work, it can seem unfair to be penalised for grammatical and spelling mistakes when you have shown that you have gone the extra mile to research your topic to the highest level and composed a compelling argument. Whilst many of us are fully confident when it comes to our use of English, there’s nothing like the help of a second pair of eyes to ensure that everything is in place. If the content is great, but could be expressed better, there’s nothing to lose in a little outside proofreading.
